
Bloomability Contest Rules and Details

Entries must be 200 words or less, and must include the following information: Your name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, grade, and your school’s name and address.
Send it in a first-class stamped envelope to: Bloomability Contest, HarperCollins Children’s Books, 10 East 53rd Street, New York, NY 10022. Entries must be received by January 1, 2000.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Entries will be judged on originality. One entry per person. By entering the contest, you agree to these official rules and grant HarperCollins the right to use your name, likeness, and biographical information for promotional purposes. HarperCollins is not responsible for lost, damaged, stolen, misdirected, illegible, or postage-due entries. Entries must be received by 1/1/00. The winner will be notified by 2/15/00, by mail. Valid in the United States only. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Employees of HarperCollins Publishers, its agencies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate families, children over the age of 14, as of 1/1/00, and non-U.S. citizens are not eligible. Void where prohibited. All prizes will be awarded in the name of the minors’ teacher, parent, or legal guardian. Winners and winners’ parents or legal guardians will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release within 14 days of notification. Taxes on prizes are solely the responsibility of winner. Grand Prize: Dates of Sharon Creech’s visit to be determined by HarperCollins Publishers. Approximate value of Sharon Creech’s appearance: $1,200. Approximately 40 books for winner and winner’s classroom library, to be selected by HarperCollins Publishers. 3 Second-Place Prizes: Approximate retail value of signed hardcover of Bloomability: $14.95. Approximate retail value of 25 paperback Sharon Creech books: $150.00. If any prize is not available or cannot be fulfilled, HarperCollins reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
