The HarperCollins Electronic Newsletter was begun in 1996 and was the first children's book publishers listserv dedicated to serving teachers and librarians for children from K-12. Today, our goal is the same as it was in 1996 -- to bring teachers and librarians up-to-the minute news.

These are the services we provide:

- Information about HarperCollins Children's Books nominated for state awards and other major awards around the country, and whenever possible, we include other publishers' titles on these lists as well;

-Information about author appearances in local areas when authors are interested in other tie-in school or library visits;

-The listserv acts as a supplement to our world wide website, by providing biographical information on authors and artists (visit our website at www.harperchildrens.com);

-Information on new, upcoming titles;

-Interviews with authors: Interviews are announced well in advance so subscribers -- children, teachers, librarians, etc. -- can send in questions they would like to see answered;

- We welcome any criticisms on any of our books, which will be shared with our editors.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE:

There are 2 ways to subscribe:

Option One: Digest Format

This option lets you receive several messages all at once on the same posting, with a contents list at the top. This way, you can see at a glance what topics the digest will cover. Just visit: http://www.harpercollins.com/hc/readers/newsletters.asp#librarydigest. Enter your name, e-mail address, delivery format and click 'subscribe'.

Option Two: Single-Message Format

This option lets you receive each message separately, so that you often receive more than one posting a day. Just visit http://www.harpercollins.com/hc/readers/newsletters.asp#childrenslibrary. Enter your name, e-mail address, delivery format and click 'subscribe'.

HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE If you ever want to leave the mailing list, click on the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of any newsletter or visit http://www.harpercollins.com/newsletter/members.asp at any time.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

If you ever change your email address and need to change it on the HarperCollins Electronic Newsletter, simply follow the instructions above for HOW TO SUBSCRIBE your new email address, and HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE your old email address.

HOW TO RESUBSCRIBE

To resubscribe, follow the steps shown above in the "How to Subscribe" section, making sure that you choose the format you want.

HOW TO CHANGE FROM ONE FORMAT TO ANOTHER

If you are currently subscribed to one format and you wish to change to the other format, simply follow the directions on how to unsubscribe from the one and then follow the directions on how to subscribe to the other. For example, if you think your mailbox is getting too full with messages because of the single-message format, just unsubscribe from the single-message format, then follow the directions on how to subscribe to the digest format.
